Hybrid Air Conditioning Project

Ecomec recently completed an extensive Mitsubishi Hybrid VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) System installation for a prominent hotel chain in Watford.

This involved a complete overhaul and upgrade of the building’s climate control.

The project commenced with the removal of the outdated VRF system to make way for two state-of-the-art HVRF (Hybrid Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems, carefully designed to serve 16 guest rooms.

This modern hybrid solution offers the perfect balance between energy efficiency and optimal climate comfort, combining the flexibility of conventional VRF systems with the energy savings of a hybrid system.

Ecomec’s scope of work included supplying and installing two advanced Hybrid Branch Controller (BC) Boxes, external condensers, and 16 ducted fan coil units.

Each unit was seamlessly integrated with individual controls, allowing precise temperature management for each room.

The project presented unique challenges due to spatial constraints within the hotel’s infrastructure. The team had to work meticulously within limited space while ensuring that all units were properly positioned and configured for maximum efficiency.

Ecomec’s expertise and meticulous planning enabled the successful installation of this complex system, ensuring a seamless transition to the new hybrid solution that provides superior climate control for guests, improves energy efficiency, and supports the hotel’s commitment to sustainable building practices.
