Boiler Replacement Project

Ecomec successfully delivered a boiler replacement project for the prestigious 125 Park Road listed building in Regents Park. 125 Park Road is a listed building in Westminster, London, England.

Occupying a prominent site opposite the Hanover Gate entrance to Regent’s Park, the building features 41 apartments and was designed by designed in the late 1960s by the architects Farrell/Grimshaw Partnership.

The existing heating and hot water system had been in service since the late 1960s and required replacement.

Ecomec were appointed to carry out a full design and buildservice, to replace the existing Heating and Hot Water plantwith newer, energy efficient plant.

Ecomec undertook a Stage 4RIBA Design which included new Gas Fired Boiler Selection,DHW and LTHW Heating Load calculations and BIM Modelling.

Ecomec installed new modular condensing boilers with a plate heat exchanger to provide hydraulic separation.

New primary and secondary heating pumps were installed, as well as a dual system pressurisation unit.

A new flue system was installed to suit the new boilers.

The new domestic hot water system features an instantaneous packaged plate heat exchanger with buffer vessel, as well as return pumps to maintain hot water circulation throughout the building.

A new controls system was installed with a full graphics upgrade and touchscreen controller, to ensure ease of use for the client to operate and monitor the new plant.

A gas safety system was also installed to ensure that in the event of an emergency, the plant is safely shut down.
